OTN Launches Store Forward Project (13th Feb 2009, 13:35)

Moving the information, not the patient. That is the theory behind OTN's new Store Forward Project for dermatology. Primary Care providers can take a digital image, store it on a secure server, and ask a dermatologist to review and provide a diagnosis - all without a long wait, added stress or travel time for patients. The dermatologist can provide online assessment, diagnosis and/or treatment recommendation - all from his own office on his own time. The result is timely virtual access to specialists. Selected referring primary health care providers and dermatologists will begin using the new technology in early spring, through a secure Internet site that is connected to OTN's Store Forward application server.
