En outre, en raison des restrictions impos\u00e9es par la COVID-19, le PJA a perdu environ 50 % des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles qui rendaient visite aux personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es et s\u2019occupaient d\u2019elles. Afin de rompre l\u2019isolement social, d\u2019accro\u00eetre l\u2019\u00e9ducation des patients et d\u2019offrir une formation li\u00e9e aux soins, des tablettes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 distribu\u00e9es \u00e0 55 clients du PJA et \u00e0 leurs soignants professionnels. Les tablettes ont apport\u00e9 un soutien suppl\u00e9mentaire aux soins pratiques directs et ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 remplacer les activit\u00e9s en personne lorsqu\u2019une visite physique n\u2019est pas possible. Gr\u00e2ce aux tablettes, les clients ont pu acc\u00e9der \u00e0 ConnectAin\u00e9s, une application d\u2019inclusion sociale en ligne destin\u00e9e aux personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es francophones des communaut\u00e9s linguistiques minoritaires. Il \u00e9tait primordial de veiller \u00e0 ce que les francophones aient acc\u00e8s \u00e0 un soutien communautaire continu.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 cette technologie a permis de mieux g\u00e9rer la demande de services communautaires en p\u00e9riode de p\u00e9nurie de ressources humaines et de distanciation sociale.<\/p>\n<p>Ce projet vise \u00e0 assurer l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 d\u2019acc\u00e8s aux soins communautaires \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 que les clients vivent dans une r\u00e9gion rurale o\u00f9 les transports publics sont limit\u00e9s ou inexistants. Ce mod\u00e8le de services fonctionne principalement gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des chauffeurs b\u00e9n\u00e9voles, mais beaucoup d\u2019entre eux n\u2019ont temporairement pas pu travailler \u00e0 cause de la COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Nos objectifs pour 2021-2022, lorsque le projet sera lanc\u00e9, sont les suivants :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>55 tablettes utilis\u00e9es par 55 clients\/soignants.<\/li>\n<li>3 membres du personnel form\u00e9s.<\/li>\n<li>6 heures d\u2019utilisation par chaque client par semaine offrant une possibilit\u00e9 de 4 activit\u00e9s\/sessions.<\/li>\n<li>11 440 sessions interactives par an.<\/li>\n<li>un taux de satisfaction des clients de 85 %.<\/li>\n<li>une r\u00e9duction de 40 % des co\u00fbts de transport annuels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nous aimerions r\u00e9aliser ces objectifs tout en contribuant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer les capacit\u00e9s cognitives et sociales.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Type de technologie : <\/strong>Les tablettes permettent de se connecter \u00e0 ConnectAin\u00e9s, une application d\u2019inclusion sociale en ligne destin\u00e9e aux personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es francophones des communaut\u00e9s linguistiques minoritaires. pandemic led to \u00a0several restrictions on social gatherings, leaving a gap for those vulnerable clients who would otherwise access the ADP.\u00a0 In addition, due to the necessary public health measures needed to protect Ontarians from COVID-19 \u00a0such as limits on social gatherings,\u00a0 the ADP lost approximately 50 per cent of volunteers that visited and cared for seniors. As a way to break social isolation, increase patient education, and offer training related to care, tablets were distributed to 55 ADP clients and their formal caregivers. The tablets provided additional support to essential hands-on care, and helped to replace in-person activities when a physical visit is not possible. Using the tablets, clients were able to access ConnectAin\u00e9s, an online social inclusion application for Francophone seniors in linguistic minority communities. Ensuring that Francophones have access to continued community support was of utmost importance.<\/p>\r\n<p>Having access to this technology, ultimately resulted in better management of demand for community services in times of scarce human resources and social distancing.<\/p>\r\n<p>This project helped to address equity of access to community care since clients live in a rural area where public transportation is limited or non-existent. This model of services relies on volunteer drivers, but we have temporarily lost many of them due to COVID-19.<\/p>\r\n<p>Our objectives are for 2021-22, when the project is running:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>55 tablets used by 55 clients\/caregivers<\/li>\r\n<li>Three trained staff<\/li>\r\n<li>Six hours of use by each client per week providing a possibility of 4 activities\/sessions;<\/li>\r\n<li>11,440 interactive sessions per year;<\/li>\r\n<li>85% client satisfaction level; and<\/li>\r\n<li>a reduction of 40% in annual transportation costs;<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>We would like to accomplish this while helping improve cognitive and social abilities.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Technology Type: <\/strong>Tablets enabling connection with ConnectAin\u00e9s, an online social inclusion application for Francophone seniors in linguistic minority communities.\u00a0 Tablets were be provided to 55 ADP clients and their formal caregivers.
