Self Test with an Android Device
Your appointment email invitation contains a link that enables you to test your video image. (Also called a "mirror test".)
- Open your email invitation and tap the link in the Make a Test Call section. A Welcome to eVisit test screen appears with two sections.
- Scroll down to the Self test section and click the Test button.
If nothing happens when you tap the Test button, you might need to clear the browser's cache.
- A few panels appear, where you enter your name and allow permissions. Complete each panel and to continue, click Next.
- The final panel shows a self-view, the selected camera and microphone, and a Join button. Check your camera and microphone and change as needed
- Check your self-view for both the quality of the video signal and your video image. For example, check that your image is:
- Centered with your head and shoulders in the frame.
- Not too zoomed-in or zoomed-out.
- Well lit — lighting should be bright and even.
- To end the test call, close the browser.
Clearing browser cache
- On your Android device, open Chrome.
- Tap More and then "Clear browsing data".
